SHORT CIRCUIT IN CARSShort circuit in cars can be very dangerous as it can cause a lot of issues in the car including fire 🔥It is one of most common faults diagnostic machines bring out during diagnosisThat's because newer models of cars are becoming more electrical than mechanical due to the multiplicity of sensorsBut it's quite unfortunate that most mechanics and even rewires cannot properly interpret what a sensor short circuit isTo some of them, once the scanner complains of a certain sensor, automatically it means the sensor is bad and needs changing Short circuit is an electrical issue, it could be there's a short to ground or short to powerShort to ground means that the current flow is flowing from the car body to a different path other than it should or to the groundShort to power means that the current flow goes back to the power source and not to the intended circuit In this case, a rewire needs to properly examine the current flow to the sensor, the resistance and the ECM before even replacing the sensorCorrosion, lose or open wires, electric overload, Aftermarket products and wrong connections are the things that can cause short circuitSo next time you see this issue after diagnosis, engage your rewire before replacing the sensor#tonyempire #knowyourcarseries #shortcircuit #toyotacars #lagos #oil #mercedesbenz #remotekeys #instablog9ja #abujabusiness #festactownlagos

The ignition is another part you should pay attention to in a gas-engine car. This system produces and sends a high-voltage spark to the spark plugs that allows the fuel-air mix in the engine’s combustion chamber to ignite. On the other end, EVs don’t need an ignition system. They count on a battery pack powering their electric motor to start.#evtechnology #driveelectric #automobileindustry

🚗 Understanding Camshaft Sensors 🚗Camshaft sensors play a pivotal role in the optimal functioning of your vehicle's engine. These sensors monitor the position of the camshaft and relay this information to the engine control unit (ECU), ensuring that fuel injection and ignition occur at the precise timing. A well-functioning camshaft sensor ensures your engine runs smoothly, maintains fuel efficiency, and reduces harmful emissions.Replacing a faulty camshaft sensor is crucial for vehicle performance. Symptoms of a failing sensor include rough idling, stalling, and a decrease in power. Regular maintenance and timely replacement of your camshaft sensor can prevent more significant engine problems down the line. Trust in high-quality camshaft sensors to keep your engine performing at its best.✅ United - Quality you can count on. Are you a #car 🚘 aficionado or just dipping your toes in the automotive world? Either way, it matters that you know what a car’s main parts are, so you can tell how it works or identify what might be happening when it isn’t working. Let’s begin. These are the seven main components of a car:✅ Engine (the car’s heart). It converts fuel into the mechanical energy that powers the car’s motion. The engine has many smaller parts, such as cylinders, pistons, valves, spark plugs, etc. ✅ Transmission. Here’s the part of the car that transfers the power from the engine to the wheels. The transmission can be manual or automatic. The primary components are the clutch, gearbox, differential, and driveshaft.✅ Suspension. This system consists of springs, shock absorbers, struts, and other elements that support the car’s weight and take in shocks from the road. The car’s stability and handling are dependent on the suspension system.✅ Steering. For drivers to control the direction of the car, they need to use the steering system, which comprises the steering wheel, the steering column, the rack, and pinion. ✅ Brakes. The brake pedal, master cylinder, brake fluid, and brake lines are the mechanisms that #drivers rely on to slow down or stop the car. The braking system can be hydraulic or electric, depending on the type of car.✅ Electrical. Every car needs electricity to power the radio, lights, AC, windows, and other devices. The battery, alternator, and starter motor are the responsible pieces for that. They also work together with the ignition system to start the engine.✅ Cooling. Cars must maintain an adequate temperature in the engine and passenger compartment. Thus, they have a closed cooling circuit. The core components are the radiator, coolant, coolant reservoir tank, electroventilator, coolant circulation pump, thermostat, and hoses.#EV #Automation

🚗💨 Brake-by-Wire Systems, a cutting-edge technology revolutionizing braking in the automotive industry! 🚗💨Intro: The Brake-by-Wire Systems replaces the traditional braking system controlled by pneumatic or hydraulics. The quest for safer and more efficient braking solutions led electronic sensors and actuators (electropneumatic) to replace the old methods.Conventional System: Conventional braking systems in automobiles rely on hydraulic pressure generated by the driver's foot on the brake pedal to actuate calipers and apply friction to the wheels. They were limited in their responsiveness and adaptability to varying driving conditions.Advantages of Brake-by-Wire Systems:Precision Control: By replacing hydraulic components with electronic actuators and pneumatic systems, better control in braking force distribution across individual wheels is achieved.Adaptive Functionality: These systems consider factors such as vehicle speed, road conditions, and driver inputs, enhancing safety and stability.Regenerative Braking: Capturing kinetic energy during deceleration and converting it into electrical energy for improved efficiency.Redundancy and Safety: Incorporating redundant electronic and pneumatic components enhances system reliability and safety, reducing the risk of brake failure in critical situations.Integration with Driver Assistance Systems: These systems can seamlessly integrate with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC), further enhancing vehicle safety and performance.Regulatory Requirements: Stringent safety regulations, such as the Euro NCAP and the NHTSA standards, are driving the adoption of advanced braking technologies like Brake-by-Wire systems.🔗 For further reading, check out this video https://lnkd.in/gpuaAauX🚀🔧Hi automotive enthusiasts join me on my whatsapp VIP group for more updates https://lnkd.in/gCZuxRGu.
