Arnett was born Oct. 25, 1937, in McLean County to the late Clifton and Geneva Davis. She was a homemaker and member of Towers Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Arnett; sister Opal Tucker; brother Coleman Davis; and nephew Gray Tucker. Survivors include her son, Jason (Katlyn) Arnett; daughter Ramona "Moni" Arnett; brother Curtis Davis; grandsons Jeremiah (Temeca) Arnett and James Arnett; granddaughters Genia Arnett, Mylinda Turner and Leah Gordon) Dolphus C.

Hardison, 84, of Utica passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, under the care of Owensboro Center. Mr. Hardison was born March 22, 1931, in Muhlenberg County to the late Lanie and Ada Hoover Hardison. Dolphus was a retired upholsterer who worked for more than 25 years for the Murphy Miller and Hon Company.

Mr. Hardison was a Christian and member of Utica United Methodist Church. Mr. Hardison also was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Juanita June Hammers Hardison; a sister, Alene Salaiz; and a brother, Silas Hardison. Survivors include a son, Horace Hardison of Utica; two brothers, Ernest and Earon Hardison, both of Muhlenberg County; and two sisters, Joyce Sandefur of Henderson and Christine Powell of Robards.

Charles "Charlie" Russelburg, 78, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Whitesville to the late William and Rose Cecilia Edge Russelburg. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as an E-8 senior master sergeant.

He was a member of SS. Joseph Paul Catholic Church and a longtime member of Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed telling jokes, loved going to the boat and watching UK basketball. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Allen and James Kenneth Russelburg; two brothers, Bernard and Gerald Russelburg; and one sister, Rita Howard. Surviving are his wife, Mary Kathleen Russelburg; his children, Clifford Wayne Russelburg and Pamelia Joan McDaniel, both of Owensboro, Robin Marie Sabouri and Richard Lynn Russelburg (Shannon), both of Nashville; stepchildren Robert, John and Paul Houle, Kathy Brown and Monica Knapp; eight grandchildren, Jill Marie Cochran, James Allen McDaniel, Aaron and Cody Russelburg, Marjorie Catherine McDaniel, Ricky, Courtney and Evan Russelburg.

Also surviving The service will be noon Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Jim Keegan officiating. Interment will follow at Allen Chapel Cemetery in Ennis. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Merle Arthur Thomas CALHOUN Jerry Baird, 78, of Calhoun died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Transcendent Health Care in Boonville, Indiana. Gere Howard Baird was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Daviess County to the late John Clifton and Lela Louise Hayden Baird and married the former Sherry Ann Rearden on Feb. 18, 1967. Jerry retired from TVA Paradise Plant and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, growing watermelons, horse racing, playing cards and was a University of Louisville basketball fan. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sherry Baird; four daughters, Kim Cotton of Calhoun, Sandy Young of Beech Grove, Deanna Logsdon of Calhoun and Jenny Baird of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Justin Cotton, Damian Young, Eric Cotton, Chelsey Carpenter, Colby Logsdon and Riley Logsdon; five Carroll; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Towers Chapel United Methodist Church in Sacramento with Brother Tony Blake officiating. Burial will be in Free Union Cemetery.

Air Force. Merle worked on the first crew that built the Alaskan Pipeline and continued there until its completion.
