Request for Proposal: Penthouse Pipe/Pump/Valve Replacement Project - Hocking Valley Community Hospital (3)

Hocking Valley Community Hospital (“HVCH”) is a county-owned hospital organized under Chapter 339 of the Ohio Revised Code (“ORC”) that serves Hocking County and the surrounding counties. HVCH is currently designated as a Critical Access Hospital (“CAH”).

Pursuant to Sections 307.86, 307.87, and 339.05 of the ORC, HVCH is releasing this request for proposal (“RFP”) for a Penthouse pipe/pump/valve replacement of 601 State Route 664 North, Logan, OH 43138.

The scope of the work will take place in the South Penthouse. The South Penthouse is an elevated mechanical room located on the roof of a one-story hospital building. This space is only accessible by an enclosed stairwell. It is original to the hospital, circa 1964.

This project will encompass the removal / replacement of three circulating pumps and their bases, also original to the building. In connection with the pumps, 10 actuators, and 10 valves will also be removed and replaced. These pumps are part of both the hot and cold-water loops that feed the window units located in patient care rooms, on the exterior perimeter walls.

Old piping leading to, from, and surrounding the pumps will also be removed / replaced. All replaced piping will need to be re-insulated upon installation.

The contractor will be responsible for the demo, removal, and disposal of all removed items.
