About
Tai Soen is a Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam’s Godebaldkwartier that we didn’t know about, but when we read that it's placed at the very popular and up-and-coming area, we decided to give it a go. The dim sum menu seems never ending with so much choice for vegetarians - clearly visible on the menu which dishes you can enjoy.
Why you should go
- Experience authentic Cantonese cuisine in Utrecht
- Delight in a wide variety of delicious dim sum options
- Enjoy favorites like Peking duck and specialty dishes such as steamed ribs with black bean & pepper

There are 2 Chinese Restaurants in The Netherlands that I can recommend to my friends. One is Grand Garden in Rotterdam and the second one is Tai Soen Restaurant. They don't make their foods too sweet like other restaurants so this is great.I love all of their dim sum menu. Other dishes that I like is Duck and Jelly firsh salad, spicy thick soup and the duck pancake. Now my new favorite dish here is steamed shell with glass noodle!
Very authentic Cantonese flavor, have been here years ago (2005) and in year 2024 visit again, the taste didn't change or compromise throughout the years. The only thing changes is the price 😉Staffs are very friendly and attentive, if you visit Utrecht and want to eat authentic Cantonese style food, don't miss it.
It was not of my type. Meat was chewy and the noodles were different than I expected. Also the taste was bit bland. I was expecting more flavours. I don't think I will be going there again.Dumplings were good.Price is also not cheap.Per person it cam cost 20 euros

We had different type of dim sum. The food quality is very good and the service was great. Our favorite is the chicken foot dim sum.
Great Chinese food! For lunch and dinner always a pleasure to eat here.Friendly waiters...I've been coming here for a long time and it never dissapoints. For dimsum it's definitely the only place in the city center offers these kind of oldskool style dimsum.Recommended to try these Peking duck and shui kau soups...definitely with those winter months this will warm you up 😄
