The Balvikas program comes under the Sai Spiritual Education, a movement launched by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for the primary purpose of nurturing the young children to blossom into admirable citizens and dedicated leaders of tomorrow. The movement was founded by Bhagawan in the year 1969 and has grown into a full fledged Sai activity all over the world under the auspices of the Sathya Sai International Organization. Many parents who are preoccupied with the character development of their children appreciate this program as it prioritizes on the human values of Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love and Non-Violence. In addition to character building the children are taught bhajan singing (devotional singing), Stotras which are universal prayer that are even selected from other religions.
The Balvikas children are taught by qualified teachers (Gurus) with excellent methodology advocated by the National Education Coordinator during the training. Teachers handle the children with profound love and care.
The spiritual atmosphere of the classrooms promotes a lot of joy and happiness amongst the children that makes it a joyful experience for all of them. A sense of love and interpersonal respect prevail at all times. The children are also encouraged to participate in service activities that are within their scope and ability.
