UA 1757 EWR-SEA (in the air)

Had the old reliable egg shakshuka, which is always good. I’ve posted pictures before and gobbled it down before thinking to get one again this time. Came with warmed croissant, yogurt, and fruit which tasted really fresh.

The only downside was no hot towel service. But that’s minor and the crew has been absolutely fantastic, consistently refilling drinks and even now coming around with a mid flight snack service (fruit bars and chocolates). Lots of smiles and very polite. Maybe I’m lucky but I always seem to get great crews and my UA experience remains consistently positive.

I am flying SFO to DXB via EWR, booked in F / Business

Will I be able to access the Polaris Lounge In SFO along with EWR?

If all on United, yes.

EWR-LAX

3 courses served.
Breakfast was either French toast or egg white bites. Donut mid flight. Cheese plate prior to landing.

Keeping it klassy.

Entire meal and presentation screams "we just don't care" - not management, not catering, not the FAs. No one.

At least mine was unwrapped. The other aisle was served in plastic wrap.

i will say the donut tasted fresh and was pretty good. I’m not a sugar for breakfast guy but had a bite for fun.

I was pleasantly surprised to have the choice of this turkey sandwich or the shelf-stable snack tray. The FA also had at least two bottles of the Old Fashioned mix loaded (sorry to anybody flying BGR-ORD that afternoon....).

For a UAX meal, it wasn't bad, though the amount of meat was very minimal. I was also surprised the FA didn't unwrap the items on the tray, but not a huge deal to me.

After takeoff FA offered choice of sandwich or cheese plate. This thread had me expecting not a whole lot with either option, but honestly the sandwich was pretty good. Had some sort of pesto mix maybe on the bottom. Salad was fine. Room temp pie in the sky was still delicious. Grapes were hilariously small.

Overall though very enjoyable for a 4:30 departure. The sandwich reminded me of a little European window sandwich place that has about 3.0 rating on Yelp - certainly not amazing Room temp it was fine but heated up it would have been pretty damn good.

Crew (2 ladies) was great, refills were definitely aplenty, as the guy in 2F only got to have 5 bourbons.

Fairly new to first class travel. My third on UA this year and all meals have been fine to good. Service great on all.

Next month I’m flying MSY-ORD in UA first, ORD-ZRH in Swiss Business, ZRH-FLR in Swiss Business, FLR-MUN in Air Dolomiti Business, MUN-IAD UA Polaris, and finally IAD-MSY in UA first

Will report all flights in their respective threads and can post here as well if admins allow

Glad you had sandwich option. I thought it was fine except too much bread for me at the end so just ate the inside and left the bread. I like those pie in the sky personally. This isn't a service quality thread but overall service onboard has gone up overall. Even if you get a crew that isn't the most proactive, most are happy to get you whatever you need if you ask. Hopefully you get to try a UA mainline hot meal at some point. Hopefully those MSY flights are not on an RJ.

LAX-EWR 777 redeye. Great crew. Recognized by name and 1k at dinner order.

Warm towel and nuts to start.

Thai chicken for dinner. I can't, for the life of me, recall the other selection. Thai chicken was "ok", lots of flavor but nothing exciting.

I was planning on sleeping, and told the FA to only serve dinner. She was great and offered ice cream and cheese plate right after dinner vs. during the flight. I didn't need either but it was a nice offer.

UA 1695 SEA-EWR, currently in the air

PDB of OJ or water. One minor downside is no hot towels again, I’m starting to think that just doesn’t happen with breakfast service. But no big deal and the crew has been really great, providing beverages before the meal and then coming around to offer refills with/ after the meal. Super friendly and welcoming.

I really liked the ricotta filled crepes. One of my favorite things I’ve had on UA actually. I’d recommend them, but just be aware your blood sugar will probably be over 1000 when you’re done with them. Croissant was warmed, very good breakfast overall. Now I just gotta deal with the sugar shakes, haha.

One quick non-meal reaction (though thank you for sharing the meal pics too!): IAH-PHX is on the CRJ-900 now?! Is that bc of a maintenance base in PHX?

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 4:45 pm.
